Preparation
- Preheat your grill to medium heat or set your oven to broil.
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes.
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced chicken sausage with olive oil, salt, and pepper to coat evenly.
- If using, mix in diced bell peppers and onions with the sausage for added flavor.
- Thread the chicken sausage pieces and veggies onto the skewers, alternating between sausage and veggies.
Cooking
- Place the assembled skewers on the grill or in the oven.
- Grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the sausage is browned and cooked through.
- If using the oven, place under the broiler for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Serving
- Once cooked, remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Pair with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
Notes
You can prepare the skewers a few hours in advance and keep them in the fridge. For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
