Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound chicken sausage, sliced into bite-sized pieces Choose Halal-certified chicken sausage.
  • 8-10 pieces skewers Soak in water if wooden.
Optional Vegetables
  • 1 each bell pepper, diced Adds color and flavor.
  • 1 each onion, diced Adds flavor.
Seasoning and Oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Used for marinating.
  • to taste None Salt Adjust according to preference.
  • to taste None Pepper Adjust according to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat or set your oven to broil.
  2. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the sliced chicken sausage with olive oil, salt, and pepper to coat evenly.
  4. If using, mix in diced bell peppers and onions with the sausage for added flavor.
  5. Thread the chicken sausage pieces and veggies onto the skewers, alternating between sausage and veggies.
Cooking
  1. Place the assembled skewers on the grill or in the oven.
  2. Grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the sausage is browned and cooked through.
  3. If using the oven, place under the broiler for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
  2. Pair with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!

Notes

You can prepare the skewers a few hours in advance and keep them in the fridge. For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
