Method
Marinate the Chicken
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the sliced chicken and toss until well coated.
- Allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Cook the Chicken
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once hot, add the marinated chicken, cooking until browned and fully cooked (about 5-7 minutes).
Add Vegetables
- Push the cooked chicken to one side of the skillet.
- On the empty side, add the sliced bell peppers and onion.
- Sauté until the vegetables are tender (about 5 minutes).
Combine and Serve
- Mix the chicken and vegetables together in the skillet.
- Serve immediately with warm tortillas and your choice of toppings!
Notes
Customize your spice level by adding cayenne pepper or sliced jalapeños. Feel free to add zucchini or mushrooms for extra flavor. Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes after cooking for improved moisture.
