Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) while you prepare the cookie dough.
- In a bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
- Add the egg yolk to the wet mixture and blend until combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips generously; after all, you want a double chocolate experience!
- Transfer the dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and form it into a cookie shape.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
- Let it cool slightly and enjoy while it’s warm.
