Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl for about 10-15 seconds.
- Combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar with the melted butter, and mix well.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Add one egg yolk to the mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add all-purpose flour and mix until there are no lumps.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Shape the dough into a ball or small patty and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Baking
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let cool for a minute before transferring to a wire rack or enjoy warm from the sheet.
