  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract For added flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavor.
  • 1 large egg yolk Discard the egg white or save for another use.
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl for about 10-15 seconds.
  3. Combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar with the melted butter, and mix well.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  5. Add one egg yolk to the mixture and mix well.
  6. Gradually add all-purpose flour and mix until there are no lumps.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  8. Shape the dough into a ball or small patty and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  2. Let cool for a minute before transferring to a wire rack or enjoy warm from the sheet.

Notes

For best taste, enjoy fresh. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Freeze for longer storage.
