- In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat, being careful not to let it brown.
- Once the butter is melted, stir in the rinsed and drained capers and let them cook for about 2-3 minutes until slightly golden.
- Add the lemon zest and freshly squeezed lemon juice to the pan, stirring well to combine all the flavors.
- Taste the sauce and add salt and pepper according to your preference.
- If desired, sprinkle some chopped fresh parsley on top for garnish.
- Serve the Simple Lemon Caper Sauce drizzled over your favorite dishes.
Notes
For a smoother sauce, blend everything after cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
