Method
Cooking the Pasta
- Boil a large pot of salted water. Add linguine or spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about a cup of the pasta cooking liquid, then drain the pasta.
Sautéing the Shrimp
- In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the olive oil and butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
Combining Ingredients
- Add drained pasta directly to the skillet with shrimp. Pour in lemon juice and toss, adding reserved pasta cooking liquid as needed to loosen the sauce. Adjust seasoning as necessary.
Serving the Dish
- Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley and optional grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, ensure shrimp are fresh and don’t overcook. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or frozen for up to a month.
