Main Ingredients
  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Coconut aminos can be used as an alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Your choice.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds For garnish.
  • 2 pieces green onions, chopped
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, honey or maple syrup, salt, and pepper.
  4. Toss the chickpeas in the mixture until fully coated.
Cooking
  1. Spread the chickpeas on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  2. Bake for 20-25 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through for even cooking.
  3. Once done, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Serving
  1. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes to maintain crispiness.
