Preparation
- In a medium bowl, toss the bite-sized chicken pieces with cornstarch until well-coated.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Cooking
- Once the oil is hot, add the chicken in a single layer. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, stirring frequently.
- When the chicken is cooked, add in the minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Pour this mixture over the chicken and let it simmer for a few minutes, stirring to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the chicken, stirring gently to combine. Top with chopped green onions.
- Serve your Sesame Chicken with steamed rice or fried rice.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This dish can also be frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in a skillet on low-medium heat for about 5-10 minutes.
