Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb tender beef steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (ensure it's Halal certified)
  • 2 tbsp honey Can substitute with agave syrup
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves freshly minced garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced (optional)
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
  2. Add the steak cubes and sprinkle with a pinch of black pepper. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes until browned on all sides.
  3. Once the steak is cooked to a beautiful brown, remove it from the skillet and let it rest on a plate.
Cooking
  1. In the same skillet, add another 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Toss in the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  3. Return the seared steak to the skillet with the shrimp. Pour in the soy sauce and honey, stirring well to coat everything with the rich glaze.
  4. Cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Serving
  1. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy this dish hot, paired with steamed rice or your favorite side.
