Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Broccolini, washed and trimmed
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon Salt, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice, optional For added brightness

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by washing the broccolini thoroughly. Trim the ends to remove any tough parts.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add the sliced garlic to the hot oil. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
  3. Toss in the broccolini and season with salt and pepper. Stir to coat the broccolini with garlic.
  4. Sauté for around 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the broccolini is tender yet still crisp.
  5. If using, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the broccolini before serving.
  6. Plate your Sauteed Garlic Broccolini and enjoy as a side or in a grain bowl.

Notes

For substitutions, use asparagus or green beans if broccolini is unavailable. Monitor cooking time closely to avoid mushy florets. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
