- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the halal sausage until it’s browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
- Lower the heat to medium-low and add in the cream cheese, stirring until melted and combined with the sausage.
- Gradually mix in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, stirring gently until melted and gooey, about 2-3 minutes.
- If using, mix in the diced tomatoes with green chilies for an extra layer of flavor and cook for another minute.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and serve hot with tortilla chips or bread.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave for 30 seconds or on low heat in a saucepan.
