Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage (preferably turkey or chicken) Use lean sausage for a healthier option.
  • 6 large eggs Whisked together with milk, salt, and pepper.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Feel free to use your favorite cheese.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Add to egg mixture.
  • 1/2 cup milk Used to whisk with eggs.
  • 1 package pre-made crescent roll dough This will serve as the outer layer.
  • to taste fresh herbs for garnish (such as chives or parsley) Optional for added flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon for about 8–10 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet with the sausage, and cook until the eggs are fully scrambled and set. Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and combined.
  5. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, unroll the crescent roll dough, separating it into individual triangles.
  6. Place a generous scoop of the sausage and egg mixture at the wide end of each triangle and roll them up tightly, starting from the wide end and tucking in the sides.
  7. Arrange the rolls on the baking sheet with the tips tucked underneath and bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve with a sprinkle of fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For best results, use quality sausage and avoid overfilling the rolls to prevent bursting. Customize flavors with spices or additional veggies.
