Ingredients
  

For the crust
  • 2 cups pretzel crisps (broken into pieces)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Combine with sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar Combine with butter
For the toppings
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips Melt for topping
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Layer over pretzel layer
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt For sprinkling on top

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the unsalted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until melted and well combined.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the broken pretzel crisps. Mix until they are well coated in the buttery sugar mixture.
  4. Pour the pretzel mixture into the prepared baking dish and firmly press it down into an even layer.
  5. In a separate bowl, melt the semisweet chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  6. Pour the caramel sauce over the pretzel layer, spreading it evenly.
  7. Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer and gently spread it to cover completely.
  8. Finally, sprinkle the sea salt over the top for that perfect flavor contrast.
  9. Allow the bars to cool and set at room temperature for at least an hour, then slice into squares and serve.
