- Preheat your oven and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the unsalted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until melted and well combined.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add the broken pretzel crisps. Mix until they are well coated in the buttery sugar mixture.
- Pour the pretzel mixture into the prepared baking dish and firmly press it down into an even layer.
- In a separate bowl, melt the semisweet chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Pour the caramel sauce over the pretzel layer, spreading it evenly.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer and gently spread it to cover completely.
- Finally, sprinkle the sea salt over the top for that perfect flavor contrast.
- Allow the bars to cool and set at room temperature for at least an hour, then slice into squares and serve.
