Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with a tablespoon of granulated sugar and cinnamon until coated. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until it resembles wet sand.
Assembly and Baking
- Press two-thirds of the oat mixture into the prepared baking dish evenly.
- Top with the seasoned apples and drizzle with salted caramel sauce.
- Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before cutting into squares. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.
Notes
Store bars in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
