Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs
  • 1 pound ground beef 80% lean preferred
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste salt and pepper
For the Gravy
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon flour to thicken
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of oil and cook the meatballs until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add beef broth, soy sauce, and onion powder. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Whisk in the flour to thicken the gravy.
  4. Place the meatballs back into the skillet, spooning gravy over them. Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
Serving

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. This dish also freezes well for up to 3 months. Reheat with a splash of broth.
