Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash the green beans thoroughly. Snap or cut off the ends.
- In a large bowl, toss the green beans with olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until fully coated.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the green beans out in a single layer.
Cooking
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for 20-25 minutes.
- Stir halfway through for even cooking and keep an eye on them towards the end until crispy and slightly golden.
- If desired, add the lemon zest just before serving.
Serving
- Serve immediately and enjoy with your favorite main dish!
Notes
For substitutions, use Grana Padano or Pecorino Romano if you're out of Parmesan. Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet, and serve immediately after roasting to retain crispiness.
