Preparation
- Begin by washing your ripe peaches thoroughly. Remove the pits and slice them into thin wedges.
- In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Once the water boils, add 1 cup of sugar and stir until dissolved. Let the syrup cool down completely.
- In a blender, add the sliced peaches and the cooled simple syrup. Blend until you achieve a smooth peach puree.
- In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree, 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and the remaining 4 cups of water. Stir well to combine.
- Place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.
- Serve over ice, garnished with fresh peach slices and lemon wheels.
Notes
Store leftover lemonade in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You can freeze peach puree in ice cube trays for later use.
