Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups water Divided between boiling and mixing
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, pitted and sliced Use ripe peaches for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice About 4-6 lemons depending on size.
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust to taste; can also use honey.
  • ice cubes For serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by washing your ripe peaches thoroughly. Remove the pits and slice them into thin wedges.
  2. In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  3. Once the water boils, add 1 cup of sugar and stir until dissolved. Let the syrup cool down completely.
  4. In a blender, add the sliced peaches and the cooled simple syrup. Blend until you achieve a smooth peach puree.
  5. In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree, 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and the remaining 4 cups of water. Stir well to combine.
  6. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.
  7. Serve over ice, garnished with fresh peach slices and lemon wheels.
