Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, milk, eggs, vegetable oil, and 1 cup of peanut butter. Mix with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes until well blended.
- Gently fold in the chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups into the batter.
- Grease and flour a round cake pan or use parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
Frosting and Decoration
- Once cooled, frost the top and sides of the cake with chocolate frosting.
- Warm the creamy peanut butter slightly in the microwave to drizzle over the frosted cake.
- Top with additional Reese's cups for extra decoration.
Notes
For variations, consider using almond or cashew butter instead of peanut butter. Store the cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for 1 month.
