Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the oil and vanilla extract and whisk until blended.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples and chopped walnuts, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For substitutions, consider using almond flour for gluten-free or swapping brown sugar for a caramel flavor. To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat slices in the microwave or oven.
