- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave on high for 1 minute and then stir.
- Continue heating in 15-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- Once the chocolate mixture is smooth, stir in the vanilla extract and any optional ingredients like chopped nuts or mini marshmallows.
- Pour the fudge mixture into an 8-inch square baking dish lined with parchment paper and spread it evenly with a spatula.
- Place the fudge in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until it is firm enough to cut.
- Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper, cut it into bite-sized pieces, and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Refrigerate for up to three weeks or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds before serving.
