Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan lightly.
Mixing Wet Ingredients
- In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine Dry Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Mixing Together
- Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until combined. Be careful not to overmix; the batter should be thick but pourable.
Fill the Donut Pan
- Use a piping bag or a spoon to fill the donut pan about 2/3 full.
Baking
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool for a few minutes on a wire rack.
Making the Glaze
- Carefully whisk the powdered sugar and milk together in a small bowl until smooth; adjust the consistency with more sugar or milk as needed.
Glazing
- Dip the tops of your donuts into the glaze, letting any excess drip off.
Serving
- Enjoy these delightful treats with a cup of tea or coffee!
Notes
