Ingredients
  

For the filling
  • 4 cups plums, pitted and sliced Make sure your plums are ripe for the best flavor!
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
For the topping
  • 1 cup brown sugar Remaining amount for the topping.
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Can be substituted with coconut oil.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine your sliced plums and 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Toss the mixture until the plums are nicely coated.
  3. Spread this plummy mixture evenly in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Making the Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix together the rolled oats, flour, remaining 3/4 cup of brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Stir until combined—it should have a crumbly texture.
Assembly
  1. Sprinkle the oat topping generously over the plums in the baking dish. Make sure to cover the fruit completely for an even crunch.
Baking
  1. Place your dish in the preheated oven and let it bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crisp.
  2. Let it cool for a few moments before serving.

Notes

To store remaining Plum Crisp, let it cool completely before transferring to an airtight container. Keeps in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
