Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey for a lighter option)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 can (14 oz) pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup chopped bell peppers Optional toppings can include additional veggies.
  • ½ cup sliced black olives
  • 1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
Optional Toppings
  • mushrooms or any of your favorite pizza toppings

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, stirring everything together. Once fully cooked, drain excess fat.
  3. Add the pizza sauce to the cooked ground beef, stirring well to combine.
  4. Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish, pressing it down gently.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture into the pie crust, evenly distributing it. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by your desired toppings.
  6. Use another pie crust to create a top layer, trimming excess dough. Crimp the edges to seal, and cut a few slits in the top for steam to escape.
Baking
  1. Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
Serving
  1. Allow the Pizza Burger Pie to cool for a few minutes before slicing it up. Serve hot and enjoy!
