Preparation
- Lay your tortilla wraps flat on a clean surface. If desired, warm the tortillas slightly to make them more pliable.
- Spread an even layer of softened cream cheese over each tortilla, leaving about a half-inch border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the deli turkey and/or chicken evenly over the cream cheese layer, followed by a layer of cheese slices, then add a handful of lettuce and sliced bell peppers. If using olives, sprinkle them on top.
- Starting at one edge, roll the tortilla over the fillings tightly, without squeezing out the ingredients. Apply a little cream cheese at the end to help seal the roll.
- Slice the rolls into 1-inch pieces using a sharp knife and arrange them on a platter to serve.
Notes
For best texture, prepare the Pinwheels a couple of hours before serving. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for about one month. Allow to thaw in the refrigerator before consuming.
