  1. Softening the Cream Cheese: Start by allowing the cream cheese to sit out at room temperature for about 15-30 minutes until softened.
  2. Mixing the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Use a hand mixer or a spatula to stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Adding the Cheeses and Pimentos: Fold in the shredded sharp cheddar cheese and the diced pimentos.
  4. Seasoning: Sprinkle in the garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Give it another good mix to combine all the flavors.
  5. Taste Test: Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  6. Chilling: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Notes

For a twist, consider adding barbecue sauce or crispy fried onions. Store in an airtight container for up to one week, or freeze for two months, remembering the texture may change after thawing.
