- Wash and trim the green beans.
Cooking
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Toss the green beans into the pan, stirring to coat with the oil, garlic, and ginger. Cook for about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the soy sauce and chili paste. Stir to coat the green beans, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- If using, drizzle in sesame oil just before serving. Season with salt and pepper to taste and top with sesame seeds.
- Serve hot straight from the skillet or cool slightly for serving at a gathering.
Notes
For heat, substitute chili paste with fresh chili peppers or sriracha. Ensure not to overcook the beans for the best texture. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month.
