Method

Preparation
  1. Start by rinsing the salad greens under cold water. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner.
  2. Slice the ripe pears into thin wedges, and set them aside.
Toast the Walnuts
  1. In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the walnuts for about 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently. Keep an eye on them, as they can burn quickly.

  1. In a large salad bowl, add the mixed greens as the base.
  2. Neatly lay the pear slices and prosciutto over the greens, followed by crumbled blue cheese and toasted walnuts.
Make the Dressing
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  2. Pour this dressing over the salad just before serving for maximum freshness.
Toss and Serve
  1. Gently toss the salad to combine all ingredients without bruising the delicate pears.
  2. Enjoy immediately for the best texture and flavor!

Notes

This salad is best enjoyed fresh. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Keep dressing separate to avoid sogginess.
