Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter Make sure it's smooth for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup pretzel crisps, crushed Use gluten-free pretzels if needed.
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Use maple syrup for a vegan version.
  • 1/2 cup oats Quick or rolled oats can be used.
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips Preferably semi-sweet or dark.
  • 1/4 cup flaxseed or chia seeds Optional for added nutrition.
  • a pinch salt Enhances sweetness and flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup). Stir until you achieve a smooth, creamy consistency.
  2. Gradually add in the crushed pretzel crisps, oats, chocolate chips, and flaxseeds or chia seeds. Stir until everything is well combined into a cohesive mixture.
  3. Toss in a pinch of salt to round out the flavors. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if needed.
  4. With clean hands, take a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into small balls, about 1-inch in diameter. Refrigerate for a few minutes if sticky.
  5. Place each ball onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring they have space between them. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. After chilling, munch on them immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for longer storage (up to three months).
