Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, toss the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and milk. Stir until well blended.
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, pour in the melted butter.
Baking
- Pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring.
- Add the sliced peaches on top of the batter.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of honey.
