Ingredients

For the Filling
  • 1 cup finely shredded cabbage
  • 2 cups cooked noodles (egg noodles or rice noodles) Cooked and cooled for best texture.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For Frying
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil For frying.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine finely shredded cabbage, cooked noodles, soy sauce, sesame oil, and chopped green onions. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper to your liking. Mix everything until well incorporated.
  2. Take a small portion of the filling (about a tablespoon) and gently place it in your palm. Shape it into a bun by closing your hand around it, ensuring the filling is intact. Repeat this until all the mixture is used.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Carefully add the buns to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  3. Once cooked, transfer the browned buns to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serving
  1. Serve hot with your favorite sauce or garnish!

Notes

For better results: Substitutions include shredded carrots or baby spinach. Watch the heat carefully to prevent burning or sogginess. Avoid overfilling to prevent bursting.
