  • 1 package Oreo cookies (approximately 14.3 ounces)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Ensure it's at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • to taste Sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor until finely crushed, or place them in a ziplock bag and crush with a rolling pin.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese. Mix until well combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into tablespoon-sized balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Refrigerate the balls for about 20 minutes to help them firm up.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off before placing back on the parchment paper.
  7. Sprinkle colorful sprinkles on top, if desired, before the chocolate hardens.
  8. Allow the coated balls to chill in the fridge for another 30 minutes to set the chocolate.

Notes

Oreo Balls can be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. For longer storage, freeze for up to two months.
