Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your skillet over medium heat and melt the butter, coating the bottom of the pan thoroughly.
  2. Carefully place the slices of bread into the skillet and toast for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Create a little indentation in the center of each slice, then crack an egg into each toasted slice. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, depending on desired yolk runniness.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add cheese or herbs if using, and sprinkle them on top.
  5. When the eggs are cooked to your liking, transfer the One Pan Egg Toast to a plate and enjoy it hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For reheating, use a toaster oven or microwave, but note that the bread may lose crispiness. Reheat in a skillet for best texture.
