Preparation
- Preheat your skillet over medium heat and melt the butter, coating the bottom of the pan thoroughly.
- Carefully place the slices of bread into the skillet and toast for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Create a little indentation in the center of each slice, then crack an egg into each toasted slice. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, depending on desired yolk runniness.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add cheese or herbs if using, and sprinkle them on top.
- When the eggs are cooked to your liking, transfer the One Pan Egg Toast to a plate and enjoy it hot.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For reheating, use a toaster oven or microwave, but note that the bread may lose crispiness. Reheat in a skillet for best texture.
