Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Cream them together using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated. Then, add vanilla extract and mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop mounds of cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring enough space between them.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature or microwave for a few seconds before serving.
