  • 1/4 cup butter Unsalted is preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Use pure vanilla extract for best flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all the ingredients and have them ready on your countertop.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the brown sugar and milk. Stir gently until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Once the sugar has dissolved, add in the butter. Continue stirring until the mixture becomes smooth and thickens slightly.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Taste your glaze and adjust if necessary.
  5. Let the glaze cool for a few minutes before drizzling over your favorite dishes.
  6. If you like, you can pop it in the fridge to thicken it further.

Notes

Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. If freezing, use a freezer-safe container for up to three months. Reheat over low heat in a saucepan, stirring gently until warm and smooth.
