  • 1 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee Use strong coffee for best flavor.
  • 1 cup steamed milk Heat until frothy but not boiling.
  • 1-2 tablespoons blue spirulina powder Provides vibrant color and nutrition.
  • to taste tablespoon honey or sweetener Customize according to your preference.
  • as needed cubes Ice (optional, for iced version) Use if preparing an iced version.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Brew one cup of strong coffee or espresso using your preferred method.
  2. In a saucepan or using your espresso machine's steam wand, heat your milk until it’s frothy but not boiling.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine your brewed espresso with 1-2 tablespoons of blue spirulina powder. Mix until the spirulina is fully dissolved.
  4. Slowly pour the steamed milk into the espresso mixture. Stir gently to combine and sweeten with honey or your favorite sweetener.
  5. If you want to enjoy it iced, add ice cubes to a tall glass and pour the mixture over it. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of spirulina powder for extra flair.

Notes

For substitutions, matcha green tea powder can be used instead of blue spirulina. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat gently without boiling.
