Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Gather all your ingredients. Peel, core, and dice the apples, and prepare nuts or raisins if using.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir well to combine.
- In another bowl, mix together the milk and vanilla extract. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly combined.
- Gently fold in the diced apples, raisins, and nuts if you’re using them. Ensure everything is nicely mixed.
- Pour the oatmeal mixture into a greased 9x9 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Baking
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set.
Serving
- Allow the bake to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Customize sweetness and try a mix of sweet and tart apples for a deeper flavor. Can prepare the mixture the night before for convenience.
