Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed The riper the better for sweetness.
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute half for whole wheat flour.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
Nutella Swirl
  • 1/2 cup Nutella

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter, stirring to combine.
  3. Add in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
Mixing
  1. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir to combine.
  2. Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just incorporated; don’t overmix.
Baking
  1. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  2. Drop spoonfuls of Nutella onto the batter, then add the remaining batter on top.
  3. Use a knife to gently swirl the Nutella through the batter, creating a marbled effect.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cooling
  1. Once done, allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave for about 15 seconds when ready to enjoy.
