Preparation
- Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter and honey or maple syrup. Stir until well mixed.
- Gradually mix in rolled oats until fully incorporated.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips.
- If desired, add powdered sugar and mix until fully incorporated.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan and press down firmly to create an even layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until firm.
- Once set, cut into bars and enjoy!
Notes
For nut allergies, substitute with sunflower butter. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for longer storage. Let sit at room temperature before enjoying.
