Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package Oreo cookies (approximately 15-16 cookies)
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz, softened at room temperature)
  • to taste Chocolate for coating (dark, milk, or white chocolate—your choice!)
  • to taste Sprinkles or crushed Oreos for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Crush the Oreos: Place Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs are formed. Alternatively, crush them in a ziplock bag using a rolling pin.
  2. Mix with Cream Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese and mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the Mixture: Scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture at a time and roll it into small balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill the Truffles: Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to set the shape.
  5. Melt the Chocolate: Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  6. Coat the Truffles: Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate and place back on parchment paper.
  7. Garnish: While the chocolate is wet, add sprinkles or crushed Oreos on top.
  8. Set and Serve: Let truffles sit at room temperature until the chocolate hardens or refrigerate for quicker results.

Notes

For richer truffles, consider adding flavored syrup like caramel or hazelnut. Ensure cream cheese is softened for a smooth mixture. If truffles are too soft, cool the chocolate slightly before dipping. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week, or freeze for extended storage.
