Preparation
- Clear and clean your countertop, and gather all ingredients. Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes with a hand mixer.
- Mix in the vanilla extract and milk until fully combined.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour and salt, mixing until the dough comes together without overmixing.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish, pressing it down firmly and evenly.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until set.
- Once set, remove from the dish using the parchment paper, cut into bars, and enjoy!
Notes
Store bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Freeze for up to three months if needed. Best enjoyed cold.
