Ingredients

For the Chicken
  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup buttermilk Use Halal-friendly brands if needed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper Adjust based on spice preference
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For the Assembly
  • Slider buns
  • Pickles
  • Hot sauce To taste
  • Butter For brushing the buns

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, add the boneless chicken thighs and buttermilk. Cover and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, combine the flour, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, letting excess drip off, and dredge each piece in the flour mixture.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated chicken pieces and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes per side.
  2. In a small bowl, combine remaining flour, cayenne pepper, and a touch of hot sauce or butter to create a spicy mixture.
  3. Once cooked, toss the chicken in the sauce mixture to coat it evenly.
Assembly
  1. Slice the slider buns in half. Place a piece of hot chicken on the bottom half, top with pickles, and add hot sauce if desired.
  2. Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
Serving
  1. Serve your sliders warm and enjoy with family and friends!

Notes

If you have leftover sliders, store them in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to one month. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
