  • 500 g chicken breasts Ensure all chicken is Halal-certified
  • 200 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with a plant-based alternative
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Preparation
  1. Slice the mushrooms, chop the onion, and mince the garlic.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat and add the chopped onion. Cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and add them to the skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté together for 3-4 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.
  4. Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth and let it simmer for about 5 minutes before adding 1/2 cup heavy cream, mixing well to thicken.
  5. Serve the dish over rice or pasta, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes
