Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package crescent roll dough (8 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional) Use if desired for added flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs Such as oregano or basil for seasoning.
  • 1 large egg For egg wash.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Open the package of crescent roll dough and unroll it on a clean surface. Carefully separate the triangles.
  3. On the wider end of each triangle, place a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese, followed by a few slices of pepperoni and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese if desired.
  4. Starting from the wide end, roll the dough towards the pointed end, gently tucking in the sides to encase the filling.
  5. In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush it on top of each rolled croissant.
  6. Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  7. After baking, sprinkle dried Italian herbs on top and let them cool slightly before serving.
  8. Serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping if desired.

Notes

Experiment with different fillings such as veggies or different types of cheese. Keep the dough cold for the flakiest results and watch the baking time closely.
