Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed and chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz) ensure it’s Halal-friendly
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup fried onions plus more for topping
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a pot of boiling water, blanch the chopped green beans for about 3-4 minutes, until they are bright green and just tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Add in the blanched green beans and half of the fried onions. Gently fold the mixture until the green beans are evenly coated.
  5. Using a tablespoon, scoop the mixture into a greased muffin tin. Pack them tightly to form little bites.
  6. Sprinkle additional fried onions on top of each bite for a crispy finish.
  7. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bites are golden and the mixture is bubbly.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes until heated through.
