  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation
  1. In a microwave-safe mug, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt until no clumps remain.
  2. Pour in the vegetable oil, water, and vanilla extract. Stir until well-combined and no dry patches remain.
  3. If desired, add chocolate chips or nuts and gently fold them into the batter.
Cooking
  1. Place the mug in the microwave and cook on high for 40-60 seconds, keeping a close eye on it.
  2. The brownie should look slightly undercooked; it will continue to cook as it cools.
  3. Let it cool for a minute or two before enjoying. Consider topping with ice cream or whipped cream.
