- In a microwave-safe mug, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt until no clumps remain.
- Pour in the vegetable oil, water, and vanilla extract. Stir until well-combined and no dry patches remain.
- If desired, add chocolate chips or nuts and gently fold them into the batter.
Cooking
- Place the mug in the microwave and cook on high for 40-60 seconds, keeping a close eye on it.
- The brownie should look slightly undercooked; it will continue to cook as it cools.
- Let it cool for a minute or two before enjoying. Consider topping with ice cream or whipped cream.
