  • 3 pieces tomatoes, diced
  • 1 piece onion, finely chopped
  • 1 piece jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced Adjust according to spice preference
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 piece lime, juiced
  • to taste salt Adjust according to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the tomatoes and cilantro. Dice the tomatoes and finely chop the onion.
  2. If you prefer less heat, deseed and mince the jalapeño pepper carefully.
Mixing
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, minced jalapeño, and chopped cilantro.
Seasoning
  1. Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture and sprinkle with salt to taste.
Final Touch
  1. Gently stir the salsa and taste, adjusting lime and salt to your liking.
  2. Let the salsa sit for about 10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Serving
  1. Serve with tortilla chips or use as a topping for tacos.

Notes

For a milder flavor, substitute jalapeños with bell peppers. Enjoy fresh, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Avoid over-salting.
