Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by ensuring all your ingredients are ready. Dice your bell pepper and chop your onion. Mince the garlic cloves as well.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic into the skillet. Sauté for about 5–7 minutes, or until the onions are translucent and the peppers are tender.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken with the sautéed vegetables, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into sausage links or patties according to your preference.
  5. In the skillet, add the formed chicken sausages, cooking for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C), browning them nicely.
  6. Warm your tortillas and serve the sausages with your choice of toppings.

Notes

For Halal-friendly options, you can substitute turkey or beef for chicken. Avoid overcooking the sausages to prevent dryness. Consider mixing different vegetables or spices to customize the flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for 3 months. Reheat in a skillet or microwave.
