Ingredients
  

For the Fish
  • 1 whole branzino, cleaned and scaled
  • 2 pieces lemons, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic cloves (optional) Add whole cloves for extra aroma

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the branzino dry with paper towels.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the fish, inside and out. Season with salt and pepper, then sprinkle with chopped herbs.
  4. Stuff the fish with sliced lemons, both inside the cavity and on top. Optionally, add whole garlic cloves.
Cooking
  1. Transfer the branzino to a baking dish and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
Serving
  1. Once baked, let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Pair with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

For substitutions, you can use sea bass or snapper. Use fresh herbs for the best flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
