Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined—don’t overwork the meat.
- Form the mixture into small balls, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a plate.
Cooking
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add a little oil and heat up. Carefully place the meatballs in the skillet without overcrowding and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.
- Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set them aside.
- In the same skillet, sprinkle flour over the drippings and whisk to combine. Gradually pour in the beef broth, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens.
- Reduce the heat to low, stir in the heavy cream, and add the meatballs back into the gravy. Let them simmer for another 5 minutes.
Serving
- Serve the Meatballs and Gravy over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.
Notes
For healthier options, try lean ground turkey or chicken instead of beef. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
