Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking your casserole.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook your egg noodles or preferred pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and turkey (or chicken). Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Cook until meat is thoroughly browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, for about 7-10 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped pepperoni and marinara sauce, letting it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the meat and sauce mixture, stirring until everything is well coated.
Baking
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and pour half of the pasta mixture in. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese over it. Add the remaining pasta mixture on top, followed by the rest of the cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Once out of the oven, let your casserole sit for a few minutes before serving. Slice it up and enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to swap out the meats for your favorites or whatever you have on hand. Adding extra vegetables can enhance nutrition and flavor. Experiment with different cheese combinations for a unique twist.
